An exceptionally rare and remarkably preserved Rolex GMT-Master reference 1675, originally retailed by Hermès Paris. During this period, Hermès served as a retailer for a select number of prestigious watchmakers, including Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Jaeger-LeCoultre—a little-known chapter of the maison’s history before establishing its dedicated watchmaking division in 1978.
This example remains completely untouched and has never been polished. Particularly fascinating is the perfectly even satin finish along the sides of the case, believed to have been applied by Hermès at the time of sale. Watches retailed through Hermès during this era are exceedingly uncommon, with certain examples bearing retailer-specific engravings or other details rather than co-signed dials. A remarkable intersection of Rolex and Hermès history, and an exceptional piece for the serious collector of either house.
